Eating just one billionaire would do more to prevent climate change than going vegan or never driving a car for the rest of your life

@achim Don't get me wrong, I'm all for trying, but wouldn't that just instantly create a new billionaire?

@fnord @achim that would assume all the money would just go to one other person. And if that's the case, enough hungry mouths to feed...

@wmd Surely it wouldn't matter how many heirs there are. As long as that wealth is held in a small number of hands and not redistributed, the problem would still exist. @fnord @achim

@achim @fnord
The Dutch only had to eat one prime minister, and their ruling class has been much better behaved for the 350 years since then.

@fnord @achim sounds to me like an unlimited source of sustenance.

@sieri @achim rich human meat? That's the only example I can think of.

@moshtodon @achim there is potential for lab grown meat to be ethical too. I just need to look into the energy impact of it

@douginamug @achim Who said we stop at one? We start there until the entire capitalist machine is dismantled.

Major corporations more concerned about profits are the primary cause of pollution on this planet. We like to blame individuals for buying products that come in plastic, but when nearly everything is packaged that way, there's little an individual can do.

While we should all make reasonable changes, even if we do all we can, the corporations will still destroy us.

@achim be afraid of the many, many meanings of the word “eating”.

@achim

Can someone pluck out the emeralds first, though? They hurt my teeth.

eating just one Billionaire would do more to prevent climate change than going vegan or never driving a car for the rest of your life

@eibart @achim @OCRbot Lisa Simpson giving a speech. The slide reads:

Eating just one Billionaire would do more to prevent climate change than going vegan or never driving a car for the rest of your life.

@achim I'm not sure if eating billionaires has a bigger impact or not than going plant based, but eat them anyway for a class free world, the same way we should exploiting animals beyond it environmental impact.

@moshtodon @achim than everyone who can go plant based going plant based? probably not. more impact than one person going plant based? certainly

@achim not that not driving car and eating the rich are mutually exclusive :flan_tongue:

@achim still if everyone goes vegan and stops driving a car is better than nothing, but ideally we'd be vegan, car-free AND we'd eat the rich
